@Daria_Erza. I would like to point out that there's a difference between thriving and striving. You've misused the word strive a few times. In an environment that compels you to perform, where you find motivation to go above and beyond, you thrive. When you're working towards a goal you strive. You strive to achieve that goal. Does that make sense to you?

Just wanted to check with you on something, it’d be great to know what’s the salary bracket or range of a Creative Director in Toronto market, Like someone with 15+ years of experience in Multinational Big agencies, and international clients in different countries all around the work. Can give you more details on the profile if required. Thanks

Here's the ugly in advertising: stupid and illogical so you have to deal with how difficult their saying attitude is known for their brands to the solution of being in the business of the issue of being in the working world over the issue of all open open the issue of type.

Comparing my education with this girl mine was absolute sh*t. When i was her age all i would be able to say is f*ck everything i just wanna do drugs. Even now im 40yo i can hardly grasp things like know your .. ..what sparks u? I was raised to get whatever bullsh*t job i happen to have in front of me whatever it was, whatever they paid, no one even cared if it was fulfilling or if payed enough to survive.. I wonder if im sh*t or how much both sh*t ass parents i was unfortunate to have r the reason im such a worthless piece of sh*t.. I guess im better off o.d.ing on fentanyl, im tired of my sh*t ass life and frankly rather not see the remaining sh*t ass days i have in front of me, that's the only thing im truly sure of.. Why the f*ck did i have to survive a mtfckn pandemic? Wtf

The 10,000 hour concept is dubious at best; the author has a strength in engaging presentation, though not necessarily in interpreting the research of others. However Robert Caro does superb research and the Power Broker is rock-solid. Thank you Daria!

I like paring books with music as I read. Philip Watson's...Beautiful Dreamer was a really good book about Bill Frisells Career. Before starting the book I created a playlist of this new artist that I've never heard of but instantly fell in love with. Reading the book ....it references so many other music projects that he was involved with that my new playlist turned out to be a Beautiful dream in itself.

here's the ugly part in advertising: - clients sometimes are stupid and illogical so you have to deal how difficult their attitude is even you know what is a better solution for their brands. - work is demanding so you sometimes you might have to stay late nights, work on weekends and holidays, they sometimes even call you up while you're on holiday - there are a lot of politics, people who want to take credit of your work especially for awards, people who suck up to bosses and gets the promotion, people who talk behind your back, looking for someone to blame. It's a stressful environment so watchout for bullies from different departments. - lack of budget, time to create quality work. - some talents are exploited they give you lots more work and responsibilities, they give you a promotion that sounds nice as a 'title' but they don't compensate for it. If the agency loses the account they fire you or they fire the whole creative team who handles the brand. what i mentioned above varies from country-to-country, company-to-company but hey, for the most part, it's fun, rewarding, you will learn a lot, you will meet a lot of people, there's a lot of parties too, you can make money, travel. It changed my life! try different companies so you can get experience, figure out what you really want. don't be afraid to quit your job if you're not happy, there are lots of opportunities out there especially for young people, look for another one that has a culture that fits you. you don't need to be a slave in advertising.

Wow I just read all of this and even still, it sounds very challenging and warming for me. Idk why maybe I like a little slope of edge risky situations where I have things to lose. It shows that it takes Growth, determination and adaptability to become a great advertising executive in the future. Since I was born I have always have a huge imagination from almost anything my mind set to from any topic. Especially for people that I am around they tend to listen and favor my out spoken look on things and ideas. Where do I start? I was one of gods strongest fighters last year and then he Moses me to reset my whole life to chose a career for ME!

Advertising, particularly on TV, is one of the dark arts. It used to be basic persuasion and manipulation. But add to that political correctness and social-engineering, then one has something sinister. Anyone wanting to work in advertising has to be suspect.
